Pong Game

This browser build of Pong keeps the original idea — two paddles, one ball, first to break away wins — but wraps it in a few modern touches. Before you start, you pick an avatar and type in a name, then it's you against an AI paddle on a single shared court.

A rally plays out fast: the ball speeds up the longer it stays in play, so a match that opens with slow, predictable returns can turn into a scramble within a few exchanges. You don't win by racking up a big score; you win by opening a gap. A point isn't the game unless it's also a 2-point lead, so close matches can go past 3-3 while both sides trade the lead back and forth.

Controls

• Arrow Up / Arrow Down — move your paddle
• Mouse movement — move your paddle by dragging the cursor up or down
• Touch and drag — move your paddle on a phone or tablet

Tips

• Set the difficulty selector before you start — Easy, Medium and Hard change how fast the AI paddle reacts, not just ball speed.
• Because a win needs a 2-point lead, don't force risky returns once you're ahead by one — a safe return that keeps the rally going costs you nothing.
• Hitting the ball with the edge of your paddle rather than dead center sends it off at a sharper angle, which is harder for the AI to track at higher difficulty.
• Use Pause if you need a break mid-rally, and Restart to reset the score without reloading the page.

It's a short, replayable match rather than a long session — a good pick when you want a quick round of reflexes without any setup.
