Murder Game

Murder is a tense, one-button reaction game where you attempt to assassinate the paranoid king and steal his crown. You play as a scheming vizier slowly creeping up behind the monarch as he walks down the castle hallway. Your goal is to charge up your knife strike without being seen, but the king constantly glances over his shoulder. If he catches you with your weapon drawn, you are thrown in the dungeon.

If you succeed in taking the throne, the game flips. You are now the king, and a parade of eccentric characters—from a court jester to a chef—will try to assassinate you in the exact same way. You have to carefully time your glances backward to catch them in the act and send them away, hoping to survive long enough to die peacefully of old age.

Controls

• Spacebar: Hold to charge your stab attempt when you are the assassin. When playing as the king, press Spacebar to quickly look over your shoulder.

Tips

• Bait the king: The king's turn patterns can be unpredictable. Tap the spacebar briefly to start your animation, which often prompts him to look back immediately.
• Memorize the assassins: Once you are the king, pay attention to the different characters behind you. Each one has a specific tell before they strike, such as reaching into their pocket or winding up their swing.
• Do not get greedy: It is better to make several small charge attempts rather than trying to fully charge your attack in one go, which usually ends in getting caught.
