Sprunki is a fan-made music creation game that takes the drag-and-drop beatboxing formula of Incredibox and gives it a distinctly internet-era twist. You start with a lineup of blank characters and a row of colorful sound icons. By dragging these icons onto the characters, you assign them different loops—beats, basslines, melodies, and vocals. As you stack them, they automatically sync up, letting anyone create a full, catchy track without any musical experience.

But the game has a secret that helped make it a viral hit. While the initial vibe is upbeat and cartoony, dragging the specific black hat icon onto a character instantly flips the entire game into a dark, horror-themed alternate phase. The music becomes unsettling, the character designs turn creepy, and the whole atmosphere shifts, giving you two entirely different soundscapes to play with in one game.

Controls

Everything is controlled with the mouse or touchscreen:

• Click and drag an icon onto a character to make them sing.
• Click a singing character to mute them.
• Double-click a character to solo them (mute everyone else).
• Drag downwards on a character to remove their sound completely.

Tips

• Build your track slowly. Start with a solid drum beat and a bassline before adding the more chaotic vocals and effects.
• The black hat icon is the key to the horror phase. Try building a track in the normal mode, then drop the hat on someone to hear how the song twists into something darker.
• Experiment with combinations to unlock short animated bonus cutscenes.
