About Merge Master

Merge Master takes the auto-battler genre and strips it down to its most immediate, satisfying core. You start on a simple grid, spending gold to drop low-level dinosaurs or human warriors onto the board. By dragging identical units onto one another, you merge them into a larger, more powerful evolution. Once your formation is set, you hit the fight button and watch your creations clash with the enemy in a chaotic, hands-off brawl where positioning means everything.

The loop is incredibly fast and relies heavily on balancing your board. Evolving a massive T-Rex feels great, but a single giant unit can easily get overwhelmed if you neglect your backline. Every round becomes a tactical puzzle of where to place your tanks to absorb hits, and where to tuck your fragile archers so they can safely deal damage from afar.

Controls

Everything is handled with the mouse or touchscreen. Click or tap the buy buttons to purchase base units, then drag and drop identical characters together to merge them. Click Fight to start the round.

Tips

  • Protect your archers: Ranged units deal massive damage but die quickly. Keep them tucked in the back corners behind your biggest melee dinosaurs.
  • Use decoys: Enemy bosses often attack the closest target first. Place a cheap, level-one unit right at the front to absorb the boss's opening strike while your real attackers get to work.
  • Do not rush to merge: Having two mid-tier units is often better for board control than rushing a single high-tier unit, especially when fighting swarms of smaller enemies.

Because there is nothing to download, it runs instantly in your browser and is perfect for quick, tactical breaks.

Merge Master FAQ

Can I play Merge Master on my phone?
Yes, it is fully playable on mobile devices. You can just tap and drag on the touchscreen to buy and merge your units exactly as you would with a mouse.
Does my progress save automatically?
Your progress, including your current level and accumulated gold, is saved locally in your browser cache. Returning to the page will resume the game right where you left off.
Why do my high-level units keep dying to bosses?
Bosses deal massive single-target damage. To protect your highest-tier units, position a cheap level-one dinosaur at the very front of the grid to absorb the boss's first devastating hit.
