Yokai Dungeon Game

Yokai Dungeon is a charming grid-based action game where you explore procedurally generated rooms filled with Japanese folklore monsters. As you descend deeper, the rooms get more crowded with dangerous spirits, requiring you to think fast and move carefully. You fight back by pushing blocks, lanterns, and heavy objects across the room to squash the enemies in your path.

The pace is entirely driven by your movement, giving it a puzzle-like feel similar to Sokoban but with real-time threats. Picking up gold from defeated enemies lets you buy useful items or unlock new playable characters with distinct stats, so every failed run still brings you a little closer to mastering the dungeon.

Tips

• Before you push a block, line up multiple enemies. A single well-timed push can clear out three or four yokai at once.
• Watch the movement patterns of different spirits. Flying tengu and erratic kappa require different approaches than slow-moving oni.
• Don't rush into a new room. Pause at the entrance to see where the blocks and enemies are positioned before making your first move.
