We Skate puts you on a board that never stops rolling. The city street scrolls forward on its own, and your only job is timing the jump — clear a gap, hop a rail, hurdle a barrier, or dodge a bird swooping in to knock you flat. Miss the timing once and the run ends, so the whole game lives in that split-second decision, over and over, faster as you go.
The route changes character as you rack up distance, cycling through city streets, hills, desert, snow, forest and beach backdrops, each with its own obstacle layout to read on the fly. Coins litter the path for the taking, and side objectives — duck once, land a grind, chain a 3x combo, scare off a bird — give you something to aim for beyond just surviving longer than last time.
Controls
- W, Up Arrow, Space, or mouse click — jump
Jumping is the one input you control directly; ducking under low obstacles and grinding rails happen automatically as your skater reacts to what's in the way, so all your attention goes into timing that jump.
Tips
- Watch the ground just ahead, not your character — obstacles come up fast and the jump window is short.
- Coins earned along a run go toward hats and skateboard skins, so a mediocre run still pays off cosmetically.
- Chasing a combo streak (3x, 5x, 7x) is riskier than just surviving — decide before an obstacle cluster whether you're playing safe or going for style.
A quick pick-up for anyone who likes reflex-timing runners: no menus to learn, just a board, a street, and a jump button.
