About Stack

Stack is a minimalist arcade game by Ketchapp where your goal is to build the tallest tower possible. A flat block slides back and forth across the screen, and you must time your tap perfectly to drop it exactly on top of the previous layer.

The challenge comes from the shrinking margins for error. If your block overhangs the edge, the excess is sliced off, leaving you with a smaller platform for the next piece. The game speeds up as you go, demanding precise rhythm and intense focus to keep the tower growing before you miss entirely.

Controls

  • Tap or Click: Drop the moving block.
  • Spacebar: Drop the moving block (on keyboard).

Tips

  • Find the rhythm: As the blocks speed up, try to lock into the beat of the movement rather than just reacting visually.
  • Aim for perfect drops: Landing a block flawlessly multiple times in a row will gradually increase the size of your platform, giving you more room for error.
  • Don't panic after a slice: It is easy to lose your timing when your block suddenly shrinks. Take a split second to readjust to the new width.

Stack FAQ

How do you make the blocks bigger in Stack?
If you land your blocks perfectly on top of each other several times in a row, the platform will start to grow slightly, recovering some of your lost width.
Can I play Stack on my phone?
Yes, Stack is fully playable on mobile devices right in your browser. Just tap the screen to drop the blocks.
Does the game ever end?
Stack is an endless game. It only ends when you completely miss the tower below, ending your run. Your goal is simply to beat your own high score.
