Solitaire is the digital version of the world's most popular single-player card game. Based on the classic Klondike rules, the game challenges you to arrange a shuffled deck of 52 cards into four foundation piles. Each pile must be built in ascending order, starting from the Ace and ending with the King, grouped by their respective suits.
The game begins with 28 cards dealt into seven tableau columns. To reveal hidden cards and clear the board, you must stack cards in descending order while alternating colors. This browser-based edition delivers a smooth, clutter-free experience that runs instantly without any downloads or setup, making it the perfect choice for a quick mental break or a relaxing strategy session.
Controls
The interface is fully optimized for both desktop and mobile play:
- Move cards: Click and drag a card, or a stack of alternating cards, to move them between columns. On mobile, simply tap and slide the cards.
- Draw cards: Click or tap the face-down stockpile in the top-left corner to reveal new cards when you run out of moves.
- Quick stack: Double-click or double-tap an exposed card to automatically send it to the foundations if a legal slot is open.
Tips
- Expose hidden cards first: Focus on making moves within the tableau columns to flip face-down cards before drawing from the stockpile. Uncovering these cards gives you more tactical options.
- Reserve empty spaces for Kings: You can only place a King in an empty tableau column. Avoid clearing a column completely unless you have a King ready to fill it.
- Balance the colors: Try to keep your columns relatively equal in length and distribute red and black cards evenly to prevent getting blocked later in the game.
