Run 2 is the classic flash-era platformer that turns a simple endless run into a mind-bending exercise in spatial awareness. You play as a little gray alien sprinting down a floating cosmic tunnel, but there are no fixed floors. Every time you run into a wall, the camera snaps 90 degrees and gravity shifts with it, turning that wall into your new floor. This gravity-flipping mechanic means you have to constantly plan ahead, rotating the entire level to find a safe path across massive gaps and crumbling tiles.
You can choose between two distinct characters that completely change how you approach each level. The default Runner is precise and easy to control, perfect for tight maneuvering and learning the game's brutal obstacle courses. The Skater is much faster and glides through the air, capable of crossing huge chasms but suffering from slippery momentum that makes narrow landings terrifying. The pace is relentless, and the hypnotic electronic soundtrack perfectly matches the focus required to survive.
Controls
- Left and Right Arrow Keys: Steer your character left or right.
- Up Arrow Key or Spacebar: Jump over gaps.
- P: Pause the game.
Tips
- Control your jump height: Tapping the jump key gives you a quick, short hop, which is crucial for narrow consecutive gaps. Holding it down gives you maximum air for long distances.
- Plan your gravity shifts: Don't just react to the floor you are on. Look at the walls ahead and try to intentionally shift gravity to put yourself on a path with fewer holes.
- Use the Skater for bonus levels: While the Runner is great for the main campaign, the Skater's immense jump distance makes many of the difficult bonus levels much more manageable.
