How to Play

The goal of Google Solitaire is to organize a standard 52-card deck into four foundation piles at the top right, sorted by suit in ascending order from Ace to King.

On the main board, cards are arranged in seven columns. You can move cards between columns by building them downward in alternating colors—for example, placing a red Queen on a black King, followed by a black Jack. Only Kings or piles starting with a King can be moved into empty column spaces. If you run out of moves on the board, you can click the stockpile in the top left to draw new cards.

Game Controls

This version of solitaire features intuitive, responsive controls designed for both desktop and mobile players:

• Move Cards: Click and drag cards to move them, or tap and drag on touch screens.
• Auto-Move: Double-click or double-tap a card to automatically send it to the foundations if a valid spot is open.
• Draw Cards: Click the stockpile pile in the top-left corner to reveal new cards.
• Undo: Click the Undo button at the bottom of the screen to reverse your last move.
• New Game: Click the menu or restart option to start a fresh game or change the difficulty level.

Tips for Winning

To improve your win rate, especially on Hard mode, keep these strategies in mind:

• Reveal facedown cards first: Focus your moves on uncovering hidden cards in the longest columns of the tableau. Unlocking these columns early gives you more options later in the game.
• Do not empty columns too quickly: Only clear a tableau column if you have a King ready to fill the space. Leaving an empty column without a King blocks you from placing cards there.
• Manage your stockpile wisely: Avoid drawing from the stockpile immediately. Check the board for possible moves first, as playing cards from the tableau is usually more beneficial than bringing in new ones from the deck.
