Getaway Shootout Game

In Getaway Shootout, your goal is simple: reach the extraction helicopter before anyone else. However, moving in this game is anything but ordinary. Instead of walking or running, your character can only leap wildly left or right, turning every race into a hilarious, chaotic struggle with physics.

Developed by New Eich Games, this multiplayer platformer drops you and your rivals into a variety of dangerous maps. Along the way to the chopper, you'll need to grab weapons to blast your opponents off the map and use power-ups to gain a slight advantage. The bouncy ragdoll mechanics mean that even a perfectly planned jump can end in disaster, making every round completely unpredictable.

Controls

The movement takes some getting used to, as you can only move by launching yourself in an arc.

• Player 1: Press W to leap left, E to leap right, and R to fire weapons.
• Player 2: Press I to leap left, O to leap right, and P to fire weapons.

Tips

• Use recoil to move: Firing powerful weapons pushes your character backward. You can shoot in the opposite direction of the helicopter to blast yourself forward!
• Time your final jump: Don't rush onto the helicopter. Wait for it to lower into position before leaping, or you might bounce right off the map.
• Play defensively: Sometimes it's better to let your opponents make a mistake and fall off an obstacle rather than risking a dangerous jump yourself.
