Flappy Bird Origin brings back the exact unforgiving physics of the 2013 mobile hit that took over the world. There is no progression, no unlocks, and no tutorial. You control a small yellow bird moving at a constant speed, and your only action is a single flap to keep it in the air. The goal is simply to survive as long as possible by passing through gaps in a series of green pipes.
The game is famous for its punishing difficulty and heavy gravity. The bird drops quickly, and each tap provides a sharp, rigid burst of upward momentum. A single collision with a pipe or the ground ends the run immediately. Success comes entirely from finding a consistent tapping rhythm and learning to read the height of the upcoming gaps.
Controls
- Mouse: Left click to flap.
- Keyboard: Press the Spacebar or Up Arrow to flap.
- Touch: Tap the screen to flap.
Tips
- Find a rhythm: Rapid, panicked clicking will almost always lead to a crash. Try to establish a steady tapping pace to keep the bird level before you reach the pipes.
- Watch the bottom pipe: Instead of looking at the gap itself, focus your eyes on the top lip of the bottom pipe. Clear that, and you will naturally clear the top one.
- Drop early: Because the bird falls so heavily, it is usually safer to let it drop slightly below the gap and then flap up into it, rather than trying to coast down from above.
