About Fat Slice

Fat Slice is a physics puzzle game that challenges you to carve away pieces of a floating shape until it shrinks past a target percentage. Inside the shape, small balls bounce continuously off the walls, adding a layer of timing to your geometry problem.

Every cut you make must be drawn carefully to avoid crossing the path of the bouncing balls. If your slicing line touches a ball, or if you trap a ball inside the piece you are trying to cut off, the slice fails. It is a constant balance between making large, greedy cuts and playing it safe with tiny slices as the space gets tighter.

Controls

The entire game is played with the mouse:

  • Slice: Click and hold the left mouse button, drag across the shape, and release to make your cut.

Tips

  • Wait for the cluster: The balls move at a constant speed and will often bounce into the same area briefly. Use this moment to make a large cut on the opposite side.
  • Start from the outside: You do not need to start your click directly on the shape. Begin your line in the empty space outside to ensure a clean, straight slice through the edge.
  • Box them in: Focus on making small cuts to force the bouncing balls into a narrow corner. Once they are trapped, you can safely slice away the rest of the shape.

This game is perfect for anyone who enjoys physics puzzles that test both logical thinking and quick reflexes. It requires no installation and runs straight in your web browser.

Fat Slice FAQ

How do you make a slice in Fat Slice?
You click and drag your mouse across the shape. When you release the mouse button, the piece you traced will be cut away, as long as your line did not touch a bouncing ball.
What happens if a ball touches my slice line?
If a bouncing ball touches your line while you are drawing it, you will lose a life and have to try the cut again.
Why did my cut not work?
A cut will only register if the piece you are separating does not contain any bouncing balls inside it. The balls must remain in the main part of the shape.
