Block Toggle Game

Block Toggle is a clever puzzle-platformer that tests your spatial coordination and timing. Developed by Robert Alvarez (also known as Rob1221), the game tasks you with guiding a small character to an exit portal across levels filled with shifting hazards. The catch is that the platforms are not all solid at the same time; instead, they are divided into different groups that you must actively toggle on and off to pass through.

Every leap and drop requires careful planning. Toggling a set of blocks solidifies them so you can stand on them, but it simultaneously turns blocks intangible, making you fall through if you are standing in the wrong spot. As you advance, you will encounter complex levels where blocks toggle automatically when you jump, requiring perfect synchronization between your movements and your block state manipulation.

Controls

• Move/Jump: Use the WASD keys or Arrow keys (W or Up Arrow to jump).
• Toggle Blocks: Press the 1, 2, or 3 keys on your keyboard, or click the left/right mouse buttons.
• Reset Level: Press R to quickly restart a stage if you get stuck.
• Select/Confirm: Use Enter or Spacebar in the menus.
• Back to Menu: Press Esc or B.

Tips

• Study the Layout First: Before taking your first step, look at the colors or groups of blocks. Trace your path mentally to see where you need to toggle and which platforms will disappear when you do.
• Time Your Jumps with Automatic Toggles: For blocks that shift when you jump, ensure your character is clear of any disappearing platforms before you leave the ground.
• Use the Quick Reset: Because there are no mid-level checkpoints, one wrong toggle can lead to a restart. Do not hesitate to use the R key to instantly retry a puzzle.
