Water Polo Ragdoll is a hilarious physics-based sports game that trades the intense coordination of real water polo for floppy, chaotic fun. Players control a wobbly athlete struggling to stay upright in a swimming pool, flinging their limbs around to splash forward and intercept the ball. The unpredictable ragdoll movement turns every pass, block, and shot into a comedic struggle against gravity and water physics.
You can compete solo against a computer-controlled opponent or share a keyboard with a friend in local multiplayer. As you struggle to guide your character toward the ball, you will need to watch out for obstacles and grab floating power-ups that spawn in the pool to boost your size or speed, giving you a crucial edge to push the ball into the opponent's net.
Controls
The control scheme is simple but requires practice to build momentum and direct your wobbly player:
- Single Player: Use the A and D keys, the Left and Right Arrow keys, or click and drag the Mouse to rotate and swing your athlete.
- Local Two-Player:
- Player 1: Use the A and D keys to move.
- Player 2: Use the Left and Right Arrow keys to move.
- Objective: Maneuver your player to push the ball into the opponent's goal. The first to score 5 goals wins.
Tips for Success
- Build Momentum: Do not just try to chase the ball in a straight line. Swing your character back and forth to build speed, and bounce off the pool walls to launch yourself toward the play.
- Play Defense: Because precise shots are difficult to execute with floppy limbs, parking your wobbly athlete directly in front of your net is often the best defense. Let the opponent struggle and accidentally bounce the ball off you.
- Snatch the Power-Ups: Floating icons appear in the pool throughout the match. Swim through them to grow larger or gain speed, making it much easier to block goals or ram the ball home.
This game is perfect for quick, lighthearted sessions, especially when playing locally with a friend on a shared keyboard to see who can master the wobbly physics first.
