About Towntopia

Towntopia drops you on an empty plot and asks you to turn it into a working town, one building at a time. You place houses, workshops, shops, and decorations, put your workers to their jobs, and watch resources and town points build up as the layout takes shape around you.

There's no clock pushing you forward. Buildings keep producing even while you're away, so a session usually comes down to deciding what to build next and where to fit it, then checking back later to see what your town earned in the meantime.

Controls

  • Left mouse button — select and place a building
  • Right mouse button — sell a building
  • WASD or arrow keys — move the camera
  • Z / X — zoom out and in
  • Q / E — rotate the building you're placing
  • Spacebar — slow motion
  • Esc — open the menu

Tips

  • Placement affects worker efficiency, so group related buildings instead of scattering them across the map.
  • Production continues offline, so queue up construction you can afford right before you log off.
  • Use Q and E to rotate buildings into awkward corners rather than skipping a spot entirely.
  • Selling with right-click doesn't return the full cost, so it's worth planning a layout before committing to it.

It suits players who like a slow-build management game they can return to over a long stretch, rather than a fast arcade challenge finished in one sitting.

Towntopia FAQ

What are the controls in Towntopia?
Left-click to select and place a building, right-click to sell one, WASD or the arrow keys to move the camera, Z and X to zoom, and Q and E to rotate the building you're placing.
Does Towntopia keep progressing when I'm not playing?
Yes, buildings keep producing resources while you're away, so you can log off and come back to a town that's grown on its own.
Can I undo a building placement?
You can right-click a building to sell it, though you won't get back the full cost, so it pays to plan your layout before you commit to it.
