Square Stacker Game

Square Stacker is a clever, color-matching puzzle game developed by Famobi. Combining elements of Tic-Tac-Toe and Match-3 mechanics, it challenges you to organize colored squares of different sizes on a grid. Instead of rushing against a timer, you can take your time to plan each placement, making it a perfect game for quick, mentally engaging sessions.

The goal is to keep the board clear by forming matches of three squares of the same color. You can place squares side-by-side, or stack them within one another on the same cell. Matching three squares of the same color in a row, column, or diagonal clears those tiles and earns you points. The game ends when no more squares can fit on the board, demanding foresight and careful management of your limited space.

How to Play

Each turn, you are presented with three squares at the side of the screen. Drag and drop these pieces into the grid. Squares come in three sizes: small, medium, and large, allowing you to fit smaller squares inside larger ones in the same cell. You can clear tiles in two ways:

• Create a Line: Place three squares of the exact same color in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line. The size of the squares does not matter for line matches.
• Create a Stack: Nest a small, medium, and large square of the same color in the exact same grid cell to clear that stack.

Controls

• Desktop: Left-click and drag a square from the side panel, then drop it onto the grid.
• Mobile: Tap and drag the squares with your finger to position them on the screen.

Tips and Strategy

• Check Your Preview: Always look at the queue of upcoming pieces on the side. Planning two or three steps ahead prevents you from painting yourself into a corner.
• Watch the Diagonals: It is easy to focus only on horizontal and vertical rows. Keep an eye out for diagonal opportunities, as they are just as effective for clearing space.
• Save Space with Concentric Stacking: Stacking a small, medium, and large square of the same color in one cell is one of the most efficient ways to clear a crowded spot without spreading across the board.
• Clear Blocks Early: When the board fills up, prioritize clearing any color group to regain breathing room, even if it doesn't net a high-scoring combo.
