Spider Solitaire is a polished HTML5 adaptation of one of the world's most popular single-player card games. Designed with smooth animations and clean, readable cards, this version brings the classic challenge straight to your web browser. Your objective is to arrange all the cards in descending runs of the same suit from King to Ace, clearing them from the board until the entire deck is solved.
The game challenges your strategic thinking and foresight as you deal with ten columns of cards. Only the top card of each pile starts face-up, requiring you to carefully plan every move to uncover the hidden cards underneath. Whether you are looking for a quick mental break or a deep puzzle-solving session, this browser version runs smoothly on both desktop and mobile devices without requiring any downloads.
Controls
- On PC: Use your mouse cursor to click and drag cards or sequences between columns. You can also left-click a card to move it automatically to an available spot.
- On Mobile: Tap and drag cards with your finger, or tap a card to move it instantly.
Tips for Success
- Expose hidden cards early: Focus on making moves that uncover face-down cards in the columns. The more active cards you have visible, the more options you will have.
- Keep suits grouped: While you can stack cards of different suits on top of each in descending order, you can only move sequences together if they are all of the same suit. Try to build same-suit sequences whenever possible.
- Utilize empty columns: Clearing a column completely is highly advantageous. Empty columns can hold any card or sequence, allowing you to temporarily move cards out of the way to rearrange your piles.
