About Speed Stars

Speed Stars is a high-octane track and field simulation game that focuses on the art of sprinting rhythm. Unlike typical sports games where you mash buttons frantically, success in Speed Stars demands precise timing and strides. Players must alternate their running keys in a steady cadence to build momentum, push their limits, and cross the finish line ahead of the competition.

The game features various athletic events, from short 60-meter sprints to grueling 800-meter runs, as well as hurdles and relay races. As you master the cadence of your athlete, you can customize their appearance, choose their country, and compete against the clock to set new personal records and climb the global leaderboards.

Controls

Alternating inputs is essential to maintain your runner's balance and speed. Pressing the keys too fast or out of sync will cause your athlete to stumble.

  • Left Leg / Stride: A key or Left Arrow
  • Right Leg / Stride: D key or Right Arrow
  • Leaning / Hurdles: Down Arrow (used for clearing hurdles or leaning at the finish line)

Tips

  • Find Your Cadence: Pay attention to the visual stride of your runner. Tap the left and right keys sequentially to match their movement. Mashing the keys will only slow you down.
  • Leaning at the Finish Line: In close races, use the Down Arrow to lean forward right as you cross the finish line to shave off milliseconds.
  • Hurdle Timing: When competing in hurdles, anticipate the jump and press the Down Arrow to clear them without losing your momentum.
