About Mirror Image

Mirror Image is a puzzle-platformer from Nitrome built around a single move: draw a line with the mouse, and your Warlock teleports to the point that mirrors your position on the opposite side of it. There's no walking or jumping in the usual sense — every level is a small optical puzzle where that mirror jump is the only tool you have to cross gaps, dodge hazards, and work your way back home.

The appeal is in reading a level before you commit. Draw the wrong line and you flip straight into a wall or a trap; draw the right one and you land cleanly on the far side in one motion. Sessions are short and puzzle-sized — a level at a time, spent working out the one line that gets you through.

Controls

Mouse only: click and drag to draw a line, then release to teleport your Warlock to the mirrored point on the opposite side of it.

Tips

  • Think about where the mirrored point will land, not where you start the line — the angle and length of your stroke decide the landing spot, not your starting position.
  • Use short, careful strokes near tight gaps rather than one long sweeping draw; small changes to the line move the landing point a lot.
  • Pause before drawing even when a level looks safe — the mirror jump can flip you into a hazard just as easily as away from one.

It suits anyone who likes bite-sized puzzle-platformers built around one clean mechanic, where the whole game is spent asking smarter questions about that one move.

Mirror Image FAQ

How do you control Mirror Image?
With the mouse only — click and drag to draw a line, and your Warlock teleports to the mirrored point on the opposite side of it.
What does the mirror jump actually do?
The line you draw acts as a mirror axis: your character teleports to the point that reflects your position across that line, letting you flip past walls, gaps, or hazards in one move.
Who developed Mirror Image?
It was made by Nitrome, a studio known for browser puzzle-platformers built around a single core mechanic.
