Kiomet is a fast-paced, real-time strategy .io game where players compete to expand their kingdoms in a massive, shared map. Developed by Softbear Studios, the game blends tactical territory control with resource automation. You begin with a single home base guarding your King, and your primary goal is to send out troops, capture neutral or hostile towers, and build an impregnable empire while defending your crown from rival commanders.
The true depth of Kiomet lies in its automated supply lines and tower specialisation. Rather than micromanaging every single unit, you draw paths between your controlled outposts to establish continuous reinforcement routes. As you capture more nodes, you can upgrade them into defensive bunkers, resource silos, or long-range artillery to defend choke points. The battlefield is highly dynamic, requiring quick decisions to intercept enemy incursions before they breach your lines and eliminate your King.
Controls
- Select and Move Units: Click and drag with the Left Mouse Button from one of your towers to a target outpost to send troops.
- Establish Supply Lines: Click and drag between towers to automate unit flow. Drag along the same path again or hold Shift + R to delete a line.
- Camera Movement: Press the WASD keys, the Arrow keys, or hold the Right Mouse Button and drag to pan across the map. Use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out.
- Check Routes: Hold the R key to highlight all active supply lines across your territory.
Tips for Victory
- Protect the King: Your home castle contains your King. If an opponent captures this node, you are immediately defeated. Keep a strong garrison of units here and establish heavily fortified towers around it.
- Automate Your Reinforcements: Do not try to move units manually during a chaotic invasion. Draw supply lines from your backline towers toward your borders to ensure a constant stream of fresh soldiers reaches the front.
- Upgrade Strategically: Towers can be upgraded to serve different purposes. Build bunkers on your borders to absorb damage, set up resource silos in secure areas to generate more troops, and place artillery to weaken approaching enemy armies from a distance.
- Observe the Minimap: Keep an eye on border movements. Rival kingdoms can grow rapidly, and spotting a troop buildup early gives you time to redirect your supply lines and reinforce your defenses.
This game runs smoothly in modern web browsers, providing an accessible yet deep tactical experience suitable for both quick skirmishes and long-term territorial conquest.
