Johnny Upgrade Game

Johnny Upgrade is a quirky, fast-paced platformer where you start with absolutely nothing. When you begin, your character has virtually zero speed, no jumping power, and a timer that expires in a matter of seconds. Every frantic run is about gathering just enough coins before you run out of time.

The core of the game is its shop system. Each failed attempt sends you back to the upgrade screen, where you spend your collected coins to improve your stats. As you increase your time limit, speed, and jump height, you can reach new areas of the level, find more coins, and eventually unlock weapons to take on the final boss.

Controls

Once you actually purchase the ability to move and act, use these controls:

• Arrow Keys or W, A, S, D: Move and jump
• Spacebar or X: Shoot (after unlocking the blaster)

Tips

• Prioritize the timer: You cannot collect anything if you immediately expire. Put your first few upgrades into the time limit so you can reach the densest coin clusters.
• Invest in coin multipliers: As soon as you can survive for more than ten seconds, buy the coin multiplier. This massively speeds up the grind for the late-game jetpack and weapons.
• Learn the layout: The map is always the same. Memorize the fastest route to the biggest piles of coins to maximize your earnings per run.
