G-Switch 4 is a fast-paced multiplayer platformer that removes your ability to jump, replacing it with the power to invert gravity. Your character runs forward automatically, and your only action is to snap from the floor to the ceiling and back again. The goal is to survive a treacherous obstacle course filled with bottomless pits, razor-sharp saw blades, and sudden drops by switching gravity at the perfect moment.
While the single-player campaign offers challenging handmade levels and an endless mode, the local multiplayer is where the game shines. Up to eight players can crowd around a single keyboard, each controlling their own runner with a designated key. It quickly becomes a chaotic race of survival, where watching your friends fall off the screen is just as fun as reaching the end yourself.
Controls
- Single Player: Press Space, the Up Arrow, or click to flip gravity.
- Multiplayer: Each player is assigned a specific key (like A, S, D, F, or arrow keys) which you press to switch gravity.
Tips
- Look ahead of your runner: Don't focus on your character. Look at the right side of the screen so you can see gaps and saw blades before they reach you.
- Pacing in multiplayer: Sometimes playing defensively and letting players make mistakes is a better strategy than trying to lead the pack. If they crash, you win the round.
- Feather your flips: On tight corridor sections, you might need to flip up and then immediately back down to weave between two close hazards.
