Factory Balls Forever is a browser puzzle by Belgian developer Bart Bonte, released in 2019 as a compact 25-level follow-up to his long-running Factory Balls series. Each level hands you a plain white ball and a picture of a finished, decorated one on an order card — no manual, no hints. Your job is to work out which tools turn the blank ball into that exact picture.
There's no clock and no fail state, so a session is really a string of small deductions: try a tool, see what it does to the ball, undo if it's wrong, and build up a mental map of what each item on the workbench actually does before you commit to an order of operations.
Controls
Everything is mouse-only. Click and drag the ball onto a tool to apply it — a paint pot to coat the ball in that colour, a hat or belt to shield part of the ball before you paint, a watering can to grow a seed into grass or a flower. Click an obstruction item again (or the ball) to take it back off once you're done with it. If a ball gets ruined, click the recycle bin to reset it to plain white and start the level over.
Tips
- New paint always fully replaces old paint — there's no colour mixing, so a second coat just overwrites the first.
- Put masks (hats, belts, caps) on before you paint, not after. They're there to protect a zone from the next coat, and only work if they're already in place when the paint lands.
- The scraper strips paint or plant growth back down to bare white, but it won't remove a hat, belt, or physical item — pull those off by hand first.
- Watering can effects grow in stages rather than finishing in one click: flowers pass through a few growth stages and vanish if you water them again once fully grown, while grass grows greener in stages and stops once it hits brown. Watch what one extra tap does before assuming you've made a mistake.
It's a good fit for a short break rather than a long session — the appeal is in the puzzle logic itself, not in content volume, and twenty-five tight levels is roughly right for the format.
