About Eggy Car

Eggy Car is a physics-based arcade driving game where the goal is simple yet nerve-wracking: drive a vehicle carrying a giant, fragile egg as far as you can without letting it roll off and smash. You travel over a series of steep, rolling hills where every acceleration, dip, and bump threatens to launch your delicate cargo into the air.

Success requires a delicate touch. You only have control over gas and brakes, meaning you must carefully modulate your speed to match the terrain. Speeding over a hill will cause your car to get airborne, causing the egg to separate and crash. Along the way, you can collect coins to unlock new vehicles, and grab helpful power-ups like coin magnets and egg freezes that temporarily lock the egg in place to save your run.

Controls

You can guide your vehicle using either the keyboard or touch controls:

  • Accelerate: Press the D key or the Right Arrow key.
  • Brake & Reverse: Press the A key or the Left Arrow key.
  • Mobile Devices: Tap and hold the right side of the screen to go forward, and the left side to slow down or reverse.

Driving Tips

  • Watch the Egg's Inertia: When driving up a hill, the egg rolls backward. If you speed up suddenly, it will roll right out of the vehicle bed. Ease onto the throttle.
  • Utilize the Freeze Power-up: The snowflake icon freezes the egg directly to your vehicle, preventing it from moving at all. Use this window of safety to speed over difficult jumps or steep inclines that would normally crash you.
  • Save Coins for Better Vehicles: The default car has very soft suspension. Accumulate coins to unlock trucks or futuristic cars that offer wider wheelbases and stiffer suspension, which provide much better stability over high peaks.

Eggy Car FAQ

How do you keep the egg from falling off the car?
Keep your speed steady and avoid sudden acceleration or braking. When driving over hills, slow down before reaching the peak to prevent the car and egg from launching into the air.
What do the power-ups do in Eggy Car?
Power-ups help you survive longer: the magnet pulls in distant coins, the shield protects your egg from one impact, and the freeze power-up temporarily glues the egg to your vehicle.
Do different vehicles handle differently?
Yes. Unlocking newer vehicles with coins gives you cars with better suspension, grip, and weight distribution, which makes it much easier to balance the egg over steep ramps.
