Dangerous Road puts you behind the wheel of a hot dog-shaped car crawling along a narrow road that curls and drifts high above the clouds. There's no traffic to dodge and no lap timer — the car creeps forward on its own, and the entire game comes down to keeping it centered on a track that keeps trying to throw it off.
Score comes from distance: translucent numbered gates run down the road, and each one you pass through adds to your total, which your browser remembers as your best run. The road itself throws three kinds of trouble at you — gusts of wind that shove the car sideways, puddles that flip your steering direction the moment you hit them, and holes that end the run instantly if you drive over one. Nothing is announced outright; clouds overhead warn of wind, and raincloud patches near the road mean a hole or puddle is coming.
Controls
Press space to start. Steer with A or the left arrow to move left, and D or the right arrow to move right.
Tips
- Watch the sky, not just the road: a cloud means wind is about to push you, and a raincloud near the track means a hole or puddle is coming up.
- When you hit a puddle, your steering reverses. Let go and re-read which way the car is actually drifting before correcting, instead of steering on reflex.
- Lean into wind early. Waiting until the car is already sliding toward the edge leaves no room to correct.
It's a short-session game built around one skill — reading the road ahead — so it suits quick breaks better than long sittings.
