Cursed Treasure 2 flips the usual tower defense setup: you're not the hero guarding a village, you're the evil overlord guarding your gems from armies of do-gooder heroes marching in to steal them. Every level is a vault to defend, and every wave of knights, archers and wizards that gets through and reaches your treasure costs you dearly.
You build along the paths heroes take, choosing from three creature lines – orcs, demons and the undead – each with its own strengths against ground troops, flyers or spellcasters. Towers level up as they land kills, and a handful of overlord spells let you turn a losing wave into a rout at the moment it matters most. Fifteen levels ramp from simple choke points to maps where you're juggling three or four lanes at once.
Controls
- Mouse click to select and place towers
- 1, 2, 3 – quick-build Den, Crypt and Temple towers
- Q, W, E – cast the Cut Out, Terror and Meteor spells
Tips
- Mix creature types rather than maxing one out – orcs, demons and undead each counter a different kind of hero.
- Save your spells for the wave that's actually breaking through, not the easy ones.
- Upgrading an existing tower is usually worth more than a new one once a lane is already covered.
It's a solid pick for anyone who likes tower defense but wants to play the villain for once – short enough sessions to fit a break, with enough tower and spell combinations to keep the later levels from feeling like more of the same.
