Chess Online Multiplayer is a browser chess game from Foony built around fast matchmaking: open it and you're either paired with a real opponent somewhere in the world or dropped against one of the built-in bots, no account or download needed.
Ranked play runs on an ELO rating that climbs or drops with each result, and the bot ladder spans eleven tiers from roughly 0 up to 2700, so a total beginner and a serious club player both have a fair fight to start from. Want to play someone specific instead? Open a private room and send them the invite link.
Controls
On desktop, click and hold a piece with the left mouse button and drag it to its square. On mobile and tablet, tap the piece you want to move, then tap the destination square.
Tips
- Turn on premove if you're playing Bullet or Blitz time controls — it lets you queue your next move during the opponent's turn instead of scrambling once the clock flips to you.
- Wins earn gold, which you can spend in the shop on new board and piece designs — purely cosmetic, no gameplay edge.
- Against the bots, pick a tier close to your actual rating rather than the hardest one available; the higher tiers play a noticeably tighter game than the early ones.
It's a good fit for a quick game or two between things — sign in isn't required, and the ranked ladder gives repeat visits something to chase.
