Bloons Tower Defense is the game that started the whole Bloons TD series back in 2007. Balloons — Bloons — march along a fixed track toward your base, and you place monkey towers along the path to pop every last one before it slips through. There's no story here, just the loop: earn cash for each pop, spend it on new towers or upgrades, and hold the line for 50 rounds.
The bloons get tougher as the rounds climb. A Red Bloon pops in one hit and drops nothing. Blue, Green and Yellow bloons pop into weaker bloons underneath them, so a single strong hit can chain into several pops. Black and White bloons are the real test — each splits into two Yellow Bloons when it finally goes down, and each has a specific resistance: Black bloons shrug off explosions, White bloons shrug off freezing. Figuring out which tower beats which bloon is most of the strategy.
Controls
Everything is mouse-driven. Click a tower in the sidebar to select it, then click an open spot near the track to place it. Click a placed tower to upgrade or sell it.
Tips
- You start with $650 and 40 lives — spend early cash on cheap Dart Tower coverage rather than saving for one expensive tower.
- Bomb Towers can't pop Black Bloons, so keep at least one Ice Tower or plenty of Dart/Tack coverage in the mix.
- Ice Towers don't work on White Bloons, so don't rely on freezing alone once they start appearing.
- A Super Monkey is expensive but hits fast enough to shred a Black or White Bloon before it reaches the end of the track.
It's a slower, more deliberate game than modern tower defenses — good for a session where you want to think through placement rather than react on reflex.
