About Battleships Armada

Battleships Armada takes the classic pen-and-paper game of naval combat and puts it on a screen with cartoon ships and a bit of extra polish. You place your fleet on a hidden grid, then take turns calling shots at your opponent's board, reading their hits and misses to narrow down where the remaining ships must be.

Each match plays out the same way it always has: careful guesswork rewarded, careless spreads punished. You can play against the computer at easy, normal or hard difficulty, so there's room to warm up before taking on a smarter opponent.

Controls

Everything is mouse or touch based. Click to place your ships during setup, then click a square on the enemy grid to fire at it.

Tips

  • Spread your ships out rather than clustering them along one edge, so a single lucky guess can't reveal two ships at once.
  • After a hit, check the squares directly around it before firing elsewhere — most remaining ship segments are adjacent.
  • On harder difficulty the computer tracks its hits too, so don't leave a heavily damaged ship's last segment exposed on an obvious line.

It's a good pick for a quick, no-pressure session when you want a turn-based game you can think through rather than react to.
