In Traffic Mania, you take on the role of an intersection director tasked with preventing catastrophic collisions on increasingly chaotic roads. The core loop revolves around observing multiple lanes of incoming vehicles and deciding exactly when to halt or release them. Every car, truck, and bus moves at its own pace, meaning you have to constantly scan the screen to ensure nobody crosses paths at the wrong moment.
As you survive longer, the volume of traffic scales up and the road layouts become more demanding. It is a pure test of observation and timing, where a single miscalculation leads to an immediate pile-up and the end of your run.
Controls
- Tap or Click: Select a moving vehicle to force it to stop in its tracks.
- Tap Again: Release a stopped vehicle so it resumes driving through the intersection.
Tips for Survival
Patience is critical when the screen fills up. Do not feel pressured to keep everyone moving at once; it is often safer to hold a line of cars indefinitely while a complex cluster clears out. Pay special attention to the speed differences between vehicles, as a fast-moving car will quickly rear-end a slow truck if you release them into the same lane without enough spacing.
When emergency vehicles appear, they disrupt the normal flow and require immediate priority. Always freeze conflicting cross-traffic the moment you hear sirens, as delaying an ambulance will ruin your rhythm and score.
