There Is No Game opens with a narrator flatly telling you that, well, there is no game — just a plain title screen and an instruction not to click anything. You will not listen. Every element on that title screen, from the letters spelling out the title to the narrator's own speaker icon, turns out to be draggable, clickable, or otherwise breakable, and pulling it apart is the entire point.

The "puzzles" are really a running argument with the narrator, who keeps insisting there's nothing to do here while you keep finding a way to do something anyway: dragging a stray letter loose to use as a tool, muting the narrator to unlock things he was gatekeeping, or poking at the corners of the screen until something budges. Each solved bit escalates into the next, and the joke keeps mutating rather than repeating.

Controls

Mouse only on desktop — click and drag whatever looks slightly out of place. On phone or tablet, the same interactions work with tap and drag.

Tips

• Ignore every instruction the narrator gives you; the solution is almost always the opposite of what he says.
• Click and drag things that don't look like buttons — letters, icons, even the game's own title.
• If you're stuck, try the corners and edges of the screen, not just the obvious center.
• The speaker icon isn't decoration — it's usually your way past the narrator's next objection.

It suits a short, one-sitting session rather than long play — most of the fun is in the surprise of the first playthrough.
