About SUPERHOT Prototype

SUPERHOT Prototype is a unique first-person shooter where time only moves when you move. Instead of relying on fast twitch reflexes, you are dropped into stark white rooms filled with red crystal enemies and must carefully choreograph your every step. When you stand still, the world slows to a crawl, allowing you to sidestep incoming bullets and plan your next attack.

Every movement advances time, meaning a single panicked step can send a bullet right into you. You start empty-handed and must punch enemies to steal their weapons, turning every encounter into a strategic puzzle of positioning and aim. One hit is all it takes to restart the level.

Controls

  • W, A, S, D: Move around the level
  • Mouse: Aim your weapon
  • Left Click: Fire weapon or punch
  • Spacebar: Jump

Tips

  • Stop moving immediately when a new room loads. Take a few seconds to locate every red enemy before you take your first step.
  • Look for the red trails left by bullets. You can step between them if you move cautiously.
  • If you run out of ammo, you can throw your empty gun at an enemy to stun them and grab their weapon.

SUPERHOT Prototype FAQ

How do you dodge bullets in SUPERHOT Prototype?
Because time slows down when you stop moving, you can simply stop walking to watch the trajectory of incoming bullets. Once you see their path, carefully step out of the way before resuming your attack.
What happens when you run out of ammo?
When your weapon is empty, you can throw it at an enemy to disarm them. This gives you a brief window to grab their dropped weapon out of the air and continue fighting.
How many hits can you take?
You die in a single hit. Any bullet or melee strike from an enemy will immediately shatter you and force you to restart the current level.
