Scribble is a charming, physics-based puzzle game developed by Nitrome where you guide a group of walking ink blots safely to the exit flag. In each level, these tiny, round creatures drop from a dispenser and move forward automatically in a straight line, turning around only when they collide with walls or obstacles. Your task is to use a limited supply of ink to draw paths, ramps, and barriers that keep the blots out of danger and direct them to the goal.
Success in Scribble requires both fast reflexes and careful planning. The game introduces various hazards, such as spikes, fire, lasers, and bombs, as well as special zones where you cannot draw any lines. Because your ink is limited, you must find the most efficient route, using minimal lines to bridge gaps and block enemies, all while keeping a close eye on the ink level meter at the top of the screen.
Controls
On Desktop: Click and hold the left mouse button, then drag to draw ink lines on the screen.
On Mobile: Tap and drag your finger to draw paths and walls directly on the canvas.
Tips for Victory
- Conserve your ink: Avoid drawing long, continuous lines. Instead, use short, precise lines to bridge gaps or guide blots over hazards, as your ink meter is strictly limited.
- Redirect the blots: If a blot is heading towards a spike pit or fire, draw a quick vertical line right in front of it. The blot will collide with your drawing and safely reverse its direction.
- Plan around empty zones: Some areas of the screen are marked as anti-drawing zones. Identify these early in each level so you can draw your ramps and bridges outside their boundaries.
