Monster Tracks puts you in the driver's seat of an oversized off-road vehicle with an undersized sense of stability. Unlike typical racing games where speed is the only metric that matters, your primary objective here is simply surviving the terrain. You'll navigate over rickety wooden bridges, impossibly steep hills, and deep valleys that threaten to swallow your truck.
Every press of the accelerator sends a jolt of torque to the oversized wheels, meaning a heavy foot will instantly flip your vehicle backward. Success requires a delicate touch. You have to constantly read the angle of the ground and anticipate how your suspension will compress and rebound after a jump.
Controls
You only need to worry about moving back and forth, but mastering these two inputs is the core of the game:
- W / Up Arrow: Drive forward and tilt the nose of the truck backward mid-air.
- S / Down Arrow: Brake, drive in reverse, and tilt the nose forward mid-air.
Tips
- Feather the gas: Never hold down the accelerate button for too long. Tap it to maintain a steady speed without giving the engine enough torque to wheelie out of control.
- Adjust in the air: Once your tires leave the ground, your driving keys become tilt controls. Use them to ensure you land parallel to the surface below.
- Patience pays off: There is no timer rushing you. If a steep drop looks dangerous, crawl over the edge rather than launching off it.
