Mine Sweeper Game

Mine Sweeper is a straightforward take on the classic tile-clearing puzzle: uncover every safe square on the board without setting off a hidden mine. Each tile you reveal either turns up empty ground or a number that tells you how many mines are hiding in the eight tiles around it — the numbers are your only clue to where it's safe to click next.

A round plays out as a mix of quick early clicks on obvious open areas and slower, more careful reasoning once the board fills in with numbers. Flag any tile you're sure hides a mine to keep track of danger spots, then use the surrounding numbers to work out which of the remaining tiles are actually safe. Clear the whole board and you win; click a mine and the round ends immediately.

Controls

Desktop: click a tile to reveal it, and click-and-hold on a tile to place or remove a flag. Click the smiley face at the top to reset the game.

Mobile: tap a tile to reveal it, and tap-and-hold to flag or unflag it. Tap the smiley face to reset.

Tips

• Start with the corners and open areas — they're more likely to reveal a cluster of empty tiles and give you more numbers to work from.
• Only flag a tile when the surrounding numbers make it certain, not just likely — a wrong flag can block you from reading the board correctly later.
• Pick Easy or Medium mode first if you're new to the numbers; Hard packs more mines into the same size board, so mistakes are far less forgiving.

It's a good fit for anyone who wants a slower, logic-driven puzzle session rather than a reflex game, and the built-in best-time tracking gives regulars something to chase.
