Ludo Online is a polished, browser-based adaptation of the traditional board game Ludo, developed by Infinity Games. Players race their four tokens from their starting quadrants to the center home triangle. A session balances strategic pathing with the luck of the dice roll, making it an engaging choice for casual matches against computer opponents or friends sharing the same screen.
The game features a clean interface with clear highlights showing valid moves, allowing players to focus entirely on positioning and blocking. Each turn starts with a die roll that determines how far a token can move along the track. Deciding when to advance a leading token, release a new one from the base, or block an opponent's path adds layers of choice to every roll.
Controls
- Roll Dice: Click or tap the die on your turn.
- Move Token: Click or tap a highlighted piece to move it the rolled amount of spaces.
- Select Mode: Click or tap on-screen menus to set the number of players (2 to 4) and choose between human and computer participants.
Tips
- Spread Your Pieces: Avoid leaving all your tokens in the starting zone. Getting multiple pieces onto the main track gives you more movement options on every roll.
- Utilize Safe Zones: Land your tokens on the star-marked spaces or colored start paths. Opponents cannot capture your pieces while they occupy these safe tiles.
- Prioritize Captures: When given the opportunity, capture an opponent's token by landing exactly on their square. This sends their piece back to the starting base, significantly delaying their progress.
- Save a Six for Emergencies: Rolling a six gives you an extra turn or allows you to spawn a new token. Use this roll wisely to release pieces when your path is clear, or move active pieces to safety.
