Extreme OffRoad Cars 2 is a challenging driving simulator that swaps high-speed race tracks for rugged, muddy mountain passes and steep rocky hills. Unlike arcade racers where you can simply hold down the accelerator, this game requires careful momentum management, precise wheel placement, and tactical use of your vehicle's recovery gear. Each level serves as a physics-based puzzle where one wrong turn can flip your vehicle, sending it tumbling down a cliff side.
Your goal is to guide heavy-duty 4x4 SUVs and trucks across treacherous obstacle courses to reach the finish line. The terrain is highly unpredictable, featuring deep mud pits, slippery log bridges, and near-vertical slopes. To succeed, you must constantly read the road ahead, choose the cleanest driving lines, and know exactly when to rely on your winch to haul yourself out of trouble.
Controls
- Drive & Steer: Use the WASD keys or the Arrow Keys.
- Attach Winch: Press Z and use the left mouse click to target a nearby anchor point (like a tree or rock).
- Pull Winch Cable: Press and hold C to wind the winch and pull your vehicle forward.
- Release Winch Cable: Press X to release the winch.
- Toggle AWD: Press the Shift key to turn All-Wheel Drive on or off.
- Handbrake: Press the Spacebar to lock your brakes.
- Camera: Move your Mouse to rotate and adjust your view.
Tips & Tricks
- Control Your Throttle: Mashing the gas pedal in thick mud or on slick rocks will spin your wheels and dig you deeper into the ground. Rhythmically tap the accelerator to maintain traction.
- Toggle AWD Strategically: Engaging All-Wheel Drive provides extra power and grip for steep, slippery climbs. Turn it off when navigating flat ground to improve steering responsiveness.
- Plan Your Winch Points: Do not wait until your vehicle is completely stuck or flipped over to use the winch. If you see a particularly nasty mud pit or a steep ridge ahead, hook your cable to a tree beforehand to help pull your vehicle through without losing momentum.
