Dadish puts you in the roots of an unlikely hero: a radish who is also a dad, on a mission through the vegetable patch to track down his missing kids. It's a straightforward, well-made pixel platformer — run, jump, and double-jump past hungry frogs and food-themed enemies on the way to each level's exit, with a boss waiting at the end of every world.
The pace is quick and the levels are short, so a session naturally breaks into bite-sized chunks: clear a level, reunite with a kid, move on. Four worlds carry the whole game — Abaro Woods, Strando Beach, Monto Mountain, and Kastelo Fortress — each built from nine levels plus a boss stage that caps off the set.
Controls
- A/D or Left/Right arrows — move
- W, Up arrow, or Spacebar — jump (tap again in mid-air to double-jump)
Tips
- Save the double-jump for correcting a jump mid-air rather than using it automatically — it's easy to burn it too early and fall short.
- Enemies like frogs and toads usually follow a fixed patrol pattern — watch one full cycle before committing to a run past them.
- Boss fights are about pattern recognition more than reflexes; take a hit or two on your first attempt just to learn the attack order.
It's a good fit for a quick platforming fix rather than a long session — tight controls, clear goals, and four worlds' worth of levels to clean out one at a time.
