Classic Mahjong Game

Classic Mahjong brings the timeless tile-matching puzzle directly to your browser. You are presented with a board of stacked tiles, and your goal is to clear the entire layout by matching identical pairs. A tile is only playable if it is "free", meaning it has no tile resting on top of it and is completely open on either its left or right side. As you carefully pick apart the stack, new layers and possibilities reveal themselves.

The challenge lies in planning ahead. Rushing to match the first pair you see can trap tiles, leading to a dead end. Since there is no time limit, you can take your time to study the board, strategize your moves, and enjoy the relaxing, methodical pace that makes this traditional puzzle so enduring.

Controls

• Left Click: Select a tile. Click a matching free tile to remove the pair.

Tips

• Prioritize the tallest stacks: Focus on clearing tiles that have tiles stacked underneath them first. Opening up the board gives you more options later on.
• Watch for horizontal blockers: Tiles that block the sides of long rows are critical. Remove them early to free up the pieces trapped in the middle.
• Plan your matches: If you see three identical free tiles, pause before making a match. Check which pair will uncover the most useful pieces underneath.
