CATS: Crash Arena Turbo Stars puts you in the role of an aspiring combat engineer competing in underground robot fights. Instead of piloting a mech directly, you spend your time in the garage designing a combat machine from scavenged parts, then send it into the arena to face off against players' creations. Every match is a physics-based brawl where the right combination of center of gravity, weapon reach, and wheel size matters far more than fast reflexes.

A typical session involves watching your creation either dismantle the opponent or flip over helplessly, followed by heading back to the drawing board to adjust your build. Winning fights earns you supply boxes containing new chassis, deadlier weapons like rockets and lasers, and better wheels. The satisfying loop of building, testing, failing, and refining makes climbing the ranks toward the World Championship highly addictive.

Controls

Since the arena combat is completely automated, your involvement is entirely strategic. Use your mouse or touchscreen to drag and drop parts from your inventory onto your vehicle's chassis. You can swap out weapons, wheels, and gadgets at any time between fights.

Tips

• Watch your center of gravity: A tall machine with small wheels is easily flipped by a wedge or forklift, rendering your weapons useless.
• Don't ignore the forklift: While it doesn't deal direct damage, a well-placed forklift can easily topple heavily armed opponents, giving you an easy win.
• Synergy is key: Bouncy tires and a low chassis pair well with close-range weapons like chainsaws, while a stationary, heavy build might be better suited for dual rocket launchers.
