In Basket Champs, players select a national basketball squad and compete in a knockout-style tournament where precision shooting is everything. You trade shots with an AI opponent over a series of rounds, trying to sink more baskets than them from a fixed set of throws. If the score is even after your standard shots, the match heads into a tense sudden-death tiebreaker.
As you progress deeper into the bracket, the difficulty naturally ramps up. The backboard begins to slide horizontally across the screen, and the AI opponents miss less often. Because each face-off is resolved in a minute or two, it fits perfectly into brief gaming sessions while still providing a satisfying challenge.
Controls
- Aim: Drag your mouse or finger across the screen to adjust the shot arc.
- Power: Press and hold the primary button or screen to build up shot strength on the gauge.
- Shoot: Release your hold to launch the ball towards the rim.
Tips
- Bank shots are your friend: Once the hoop starts traveling side to side, aiming for the backboard is often safer than trying to drop the ball straight through the net.
- Do not ignore the gauge: Getting the arc right is only half the battle. Releasing the button at the precise tick on the power bar is just as critical for making the basket.
