1941 Frozen Front Game

1941 Frozen Front is a tactical, hex-based turn-based strategy game played directly in your browser that drops you onto the frigid Eastern Front of World War II. Command either the German Wehrmacht or the Soviet Red Army as you engage in historic campaigns and skirmishes. Manage a variety of military units—from basic infantry and heavy tanks to artillery, fighter planes, and supply trucks—in a desperate battle for territorial control.

Success requires careful planning and resource management. Each action, whether moving across rough snowy terrain or firing at enemy positions, consumes valuable action points, fuel, and ammunition. You must scout ahead through the fog of war, establish secure supply lines to keep your frontline troops replenished, and fortify defensive chokepoints to survive waves of counter-attacks.

Controls

On desktop systems, the game is controlled entirely using your mouse:

• Select Unit: Left-click on a unit to view its movement range and stats.
• Move / Attack: Left-click on a highlighted destination hex grid cell to move your unit, or left-click on an enemy unit in range to attack.
• Scroll Map: Click and drag anywhere on the battlefield to pan the camera.

On mobile devices, use touch controls: tap to select and issue orders, and drag/swipe to scroll the map.

Tips

• Keep Supplies Close: Your tanks and infantry will quickly run out of ammo and fuel. Escort supply trucks to the front line to keep them active and fighting.
• Dig In: Use the fortification command to dig in your defensive units when holding a chokepoint. Fortified units take significantly less damage.
• Utilize Terrain: Position infantry in forests or trenches to gain cover bonuses. Avoid leaving soft units exposed in open snowfields.
• Scout the Fog: Never rush tanks blindly into unexplored territory. Use fast-moving scouts or infantry to reveal enemy ambush setups first.
