Mimelet is a browser platformer built around one trick: jump on an enemy and you take whatever power it had. Made by Neutronized, it started life as a Flash game and still plays like one - short, level-based, and built for a quick session rather than a long campaign.
Each level is a run of floating islands between you and the exit. You start with nothing but a jump, so the enemies in your way are also your only route forward: land on one, take its power, and use it to get past a hazard the platforms alone won't let you clear. New powers keep opening new paths, and working out which ability solves which obstacle is most of the puzzle.
Controls
Move with the left and right arrow keys, and use the up arrow to jump onto enemies and across gaps.
Tips
- Jump on enemies rather than dodging them - that's how you pick up the power you need for the rest of the level.
- You only have a few hits of health per level, so don't walk into a hazard you haven't worked out yet.
- If you already cleared a level, going back for the fruit you skipped is a quick way to pad out a short session.
Mimelet suits players who want a short, self-contained platforming puzzle they can finish in one sitting rather than a long game to sink hours into.
