About Fill The Battery

Fill The Battery is a browser puzzle about restoring power to a dead battery, one tile at a time. Each level hands you a scrambled grid of wire segments and connector nodes; nothing lines up at the start, and the only way through is to rotate pieces until a clean path appears.

The goal in every grid is the same: turn the tiles until they form one unbroken line running from an active power source to the battery you need to fill. Later levels add teleport nodes that carry the current to another point on the board instead of a direct wire, so bigger grids mean tracking more than one path at once.

Controls

Click a wire tile, or tap it on a touchscreen, to rotate it 90 degrees. You can spin a tile as many times as you need until it lines up with its neighbors.

Tips

  • Start with the pieces that only have a couple of possible orientations, like straight wires, before tackling corners with more options to try.
  • On bigger grids, work backward from the battery as well as forward from the source — the number of tiles that can actually connect to either endpoint is usually smaller than it looks.
  • Treat a teleport node as a second starting point: solve the path leading into it and the path leading out of it as two smaller puzzles.

It's built in portrait orientation for touchscreens as well as desktop clicking, so it works well as a short session between things rather than something you sit down with for a long stretch.

Fill The Battery FAQ

How do I play Fill The Battery?
Click or tap a wire tile to rotate it. Keep rotating tiles until they form one unbroken path from the power source to the battery.
What do the teleport nodes do?
They carry your circuit's current to another point on the grid instead of running through a direct wire, so later, larger levels can route power around the board in two stages.
Can I play Fill The Battery on a touchscreen?
Yes, the game is built in a portrait layout designed for tapping tiles on a phone or tablet as well as clicking on desktop.
Do the levels get harder as you go?
Yes, grids grow larger and add teleport nodes, so later levels ask you to plan more than one connection path at a time.
