About Battle Golf

Battle Golf is a frantic arcade game that turns a relaxing sport into a hilarious race. Instead of taking your time to line up the perfect drive, you are constantly racing against the clock or another player to sink the ball first. The course is entirely unpredictable, with holes popping up on moving boats, tiny islands, and even the heads of sea monsters.

The core of the game is its one-button timing mechanic. An arrow constantly sweeps up and down over your golfer. You tap once to lock in the angle, and the arrow immediately turns into a power meter that shoots out and retracts. Tap again when it reaches the distance you want. It sounds easy, but doing it under pressure while your opponent is already swinging leads to pure chaos.

Controls

In single-player, you use the Spacebar, Up Arrow, or a single mouse click to aim and shoot. In two-player local mode, Player 1 uses A and Player 2 uses L. Press once to set the angle of the club, and press again to set the power and hit the ball.

Tips

  • Don't just aim for the hole. In two-player mode, hitting your opponent directly in the head will knock them out for a few seconds, giving you a massive advantage.
  • The power meter moves very fast. For close shots, it's often better to stop the meter as it retracts rather than trying to catch it on the way out.
  • Water shots are dead balls immediately. If you realize your angle is bad, you can sometimes tap quickly with zero power to drop the ball and try again faster than waiting for a long drive to splash.

Battle Golf FAQ

How do you play multiplayer in Battle Golf?
You can play two-player local multiplayer on the same keyboard. Player 1 uses the 'A' key and Player 2 uses the 'L' key to swing. You both race to hit the hole first.
Can you knock out the other player?
Yes, if you aim your golf ball directly at your opponent's head, it will temporarily stun them, preventing them from swinging for a few precious seconds.
Is there a time limit in single-player?
Yes, single-player is a time attack mode. You start with 60 seconds and must sink as many holes as possible. Each successful shot adds five seconds to your timer.
