Word Search brings the classic pen-and-paper puzzle directly to your screen, offering a clean and relaxing way to test your pattern recognition. You are presented with a grid of jumbled letters and a list of target words to track down. Every time you spot a word hidden in the grid, you simply drag across the letters to highlight it and cross it off your list.
The pace is entirely up to you, making it a low-stress experience. You can systematically scan row by row, or just let your eyes naturally pick out familiar letter combinations. As you progress, the grids can become larger and the word placements trickier, but the core satisfaction of finally spotting that elusive word remains the same.
Controls
- Mouse/Touch: Click and drag (or swipe) across the letters to highlight a word.
Tips
- Look for unusual letters: Words containing Q, Z, X, or J are often the easiest to spot first since these letters stand out in the grid.
- Scan for double letters: If your target word has a double letter, scanning for those pairs is much faster than looking for the first letter.
- Check the first letter: Once you find the first letter of your target word, quickly look at the eight surrounding squares to see if the second letter is there.
